AFTER PHASE 3
There are no cut features within the Monument which can be securely dated to the later Bronze Age, although activity is indicated by the presence of pottery and of an unusual bone point. This has been dated to 1260-840 cal BC (results).
Iron Age activity is indicated by a burial of a young adult male into the terminal of the palisade ditch. This skeleton has been dated to 780-410 cal BC.
Another Bronze Age date has been rejected on technical grounds (rejected result).
