RESOURCES AND PROGRAMMING

The resources outlined below are for the 1999 excavation season. This is the first in year of what is expected to be a six year programme of work, excavation taking place between year one and four, and archive completion and assessment taking place between years three and six, culminating in the preparation of an assessment report and UPD containing proposals for analysis leading to publication and dissemination in year six.

The fieldwork director and supervisory staff will be on site for a 12 week period (10 May - 31 July), the first two of which will comprise site set up, topsoil stripping, geophysical survey etc. The main team will be on site for a 10 week period (24 May - 31 July). Trainees will be offered 5 week placements, thus enabling 10 trainees to take part in the excavation.
