The archaeological work of the regional teams has covered a broad range of archaeological and ancient monuments casework within the regions, and contributed to the development of archaeological policy and practice nationally. A small number of the many conservation projects undertaken through the regional teams illustrate not only the varied range of the work, but also the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach to address the full range of conservation issues.
