Hunn, J, Lawson, J, and Parkhouse, J, 1995 Investigations at Magiovinium 1990 91: the Little Brickhill and Fenny Stratford by-passes, Rec Buckinghamshire, 37, 3-66
Excavations undertaken in 1991 are described. Further evidence was recorded for a series of previously noted Romano-British ditched enclosures. Evidence for buildings was only found in the part of the excavation closest to Watling Street and the settlement appears to have been civilian in character. Away from Watling Street cut features and some industrial activity were also recorded. Little evidence was recovered to advance the hypothesis that the settlement originated as a vicus outside a fort. An unknown inhumation cemetery is also described.

Monaghan, J, 1997 Roman pottery from York. The Archaeology of York, 16/8
This volume draws together evidence for the production and use of Roman ceramics in York from c AD 71 to the fifth century. It summarises key ceramic information relating to 260 sites excavated since the nineteenth century. The main structure of the work is based around the definition of ceramic periods', an independent dating tool that enables a history of Roman York to be written entirely from a ceramic viewpoint.
